Audiology Department

Nikki Williams, AuD, CCC-A

Nikki Williams is a licensed audiologist at Tuscaloosa Ear, Nose & Throat.  She obtained her clinical doctorate in audiology (AuD) from the University of South Alabama in 2008.  She carries the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) which is awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).  Nikki specializes in hearing evaluations of all ages, balance assessment, and adult hearing aid fittings.  Using her skills to help her community hear better is the most rewarding aspect of her job.

 

Vocals

Patients may experience voice problems for a variety of reasons, including overuse, infection, disease, acid reflux, age, trauma, chemical exposure, cancer, or a neurological pathology.  Our state-of-the-art Voice Lab is equipped with the latest technology in diagnosis and treatment for laryngeal conditions of all types, including problems affecting swallowing, airway disorders and voice problems. In collaboration with the Tuscaloosa ENT Laryngologists, the Voice Lab is managed by the consultants of Franklin Vocals including two certified speech-language pathologists who specialize in the assessment of the speech mechanism and function.  Monica S. Franklin, M.S. CCC-SLP and Emily S. Blake, M.S. CCC-SLP are both well experienced and offer therapeutic services to individuals of all ages who present with a variety of voice disorders.  Our patients include professional and non-professional singers, speakers, teachers, clergy, attorneys, salespeople, actors, elected officials, cheerleaders, coaches, or any individual experiencing a vocal pathology.

Allergy Department

Our allergy department is headed by Jayme - Allergy Team Lead, Felicia Roberts and Ericka Mordecai.   Additional training has been received through the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy  in order to provide excellent allergy care.  They specialize in allergy testing, preparation of custom allergy serums, immunotherapy treatment plans, allergy injections and sublingual drop therapy.
